8th ATC Graduation Ceremony Is Successfully Held

On August 28th local time, the graduation ceremony of the 8th Africa Tech Challenge (ATC) that was organized by AVIC INTL together with the Ministry of Education of Kenya and China Education Association for International Exchange was successfully held in The Technical University of Kenya, Nairobi, Kenya. Bernard Isalambo, Deputy Director of Vocational and Technical Education and Training Department, Ministry of Education of Kenya, Prof. Paul Mwanzia Wambua, Vice Chancellor of The Technical University of Kenya, Dr. Fredrick Nzioka Mutua, Director of Mechanical and Manufacture Engineering Department, and the chief representative of AVIC INTL in Kenya and representatives of AVIC INTL Project Engineering Co. Ltd., attended the event.

Prof. Paul Mwanzia Wambua said in the speech, "ATC is not only a contest but more of an invitation and demonstration of techniques and it will produce active influences on the general development of African countries and the career of participants. We look forward to continuing to reinforce cooperation with China in vocational education.".

Bernard Isalambo said, "Africa is a young continent and ATC lets us see the innovative talents in youth and makes us proud of being an African. I hope that our youngsters can search for a broader stage bravely, and stay in Africa and strive to develop Africa. The opportunity of demonstrating yourself stays in here.".

In the graduation ceremony, guests granted the graduation certificates to 54 CNC lathe students who had successfully completed the training task in the final game, and granted the ATC leader certificates to 18 CNC lathe team instructors to express appreciation on their careful and active attitude during the training of this ATC. They also hoped that all students could learn something, improve their vocational and technical levels, and spared no effort in industrial construction for African countries.

Furthermore, guests granted certificates to the Chinese teachers and teams participating in this contest to appreciate their utmost guidance for students during training and contributions to the successful proceeding of this contest.
